    The UCLA Choral Studies and UCLA Opera programs combine along with the Tesserae Baroque Orchestra to perform on of Handel’s most popular pieces Acis and Galatea. Carmen performed the role of Acis, singing the majority of the role in the original tenor octave.

  • Metamorphosis of the Modern Woman: A classical Voice Senior Recital

    Metamorphosis of the Modern Woman is the capstone senior voice recital for Carmen Voskuhl. This recital was performed on June 4th in Schoenberg Hall and a digital version was released on YouTube soon after.

    Carmen Voskuhl and Maia Sumanaweera join together in an hour long junior voice recital. The event featured music by Debussy, Massenet, Strauss, Granados and others. Due to Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns, the event was cancelled. However, the duet featured in the live recital was recorded and featured in the link below

    The world premiere of Carla Lucero’s opera Juana, a story about the mexican writer, philosopher and nun Sor Juana Inéz de la Cruz. Carmen Voskuhl performs the role of El Alma which granted positive recognition from the Los Angeles Times.

  • The Passion of Yeshua - Buffalo Philharmonic

    April 13-14 2019 - Kleinhans Music Hall

    In the world-renowned, acoustically excellent Kleinhans Music Hall, the concerts for the recording of Richard Danielpour’s The Passion of Yeshua took place. This recording would eventually win a Grammy for Best Choral Performance and nominated three times. Carmen Voskuhl was a part of the UCLA Chamber Singers for this recording.

    For the 100th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein’s birthday, Opera UCLA hosts an event featuring works by Bernstein including Songfest and some of his greatest musical theater hits. Carmen Voskuhl performs the part of Anita in the “Tonight Quintet” from West Side Story and was a cover for Eileen in “A Little Bit In Love” from Wonderful Town.

  • The Mother of Us All - Opera UCLA

    May 18, 20, 22, 24, 2018 - Freud Playhouse

    Opera UCLA collaborates with UCLA TFT professor and director Michael Hackett to bring a performance of Virgil Thompson and Gertrude Stein’s The Mother of Us All, an opera about Susan B. Anthony and the suffragette movement. Carmen Voskuhl joins this production as Jenny Reefer.

  • Akeidah/The Emperor's New Clothes - Opera UCLA

    A world premiere workshop presentation of two new one-act operas by UCLA composers. This event features Michel Klein's Akeidah and Nicky Sohn and Amanda Hollander's The Emperor’s New CLothes Carmen Voskuhl joins the cast of Akeidah as the Voice of God.
